Anna Pych and Eléna Esposito

voice & piano duo

Polish-Irish voice and piano duo Anna Pych and Eléna Esposito began their collaboration in 2024 while completing their postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where they study under Wilma MacDougall and Stephen Coombs respectively.

Drawn together by a shared curiosity for 20th-century and contemporary music, the duo have built a vibrant repertoire featuring works by Lili Boulanger, Grażyna Bacewicz, Ina Boyle and Sally Beamish, alongside favourites from Debussy, Poulenc, and Strauss — and they’re not afraid to venture into commissioning new pieces too.

Since joining forces, Anna and Eléna have been praised for their sensitive partnership and imaginative programming, earning third place in the A. Ramsay Calder and Norma Grieg French Song Prize and taking part in masterclasses with Malcolm Martineau and Roderick Williams.

They are currently developing a new programme exploring settings of medieval Middle Eastern poetry by Western composers and collaborating with composer Andrew Jacob on a song cycle inspired by the words of the 14th-century Persian Sufi poet Hafiz.

Eléna Esposito is a recipient of the Myra Hess Award, funded by Help Musicians, while Anna Pych’s studies are supported by Tillett Trust and Colin Keer Trust.
